LIMBO

If this is not wanted
Then I don’t want to be haunted
With a lingering possibility of a tomorrow that may never come
With this throw of gambling dice, I am done
This forsaken value left to none
Essence of time spent in trance
waking up to a lost chance
Leave me to ponder
what validates our existence
living an ambivalence that shreds
Emptiness to place tears we shed
the walking dead
rejuvenate the puppet we inhibit
popping pain killers to perfect our exhibit
Our center is so hallow
We are becoming densely shallow
That even dreaming we dread
just grains of sand slipping through an hour glass
we are not able to take a stance
